BIOMETRIC CARD ASSISTANCE

If your application is approved, the MOI will (eventually) contact you and ask you to provide your biometric data and later collect your residence permit certificate or residence permit card. If you don’t want to wait for the MOI to contact you (which can take forever), you can check the status of your application yourself online. If it says it’s approved, let us know and we can book you in for biometrics ourselves. To check the status of your application, use the link below and enter your case number found on your MOI letter.

You must make an appointment at the appropriate MOI branch based on your registered address. Because you will be required to provide your biometrics, it’s not possible for us to do this for you with a power of attorney. You will need to schedule two visits to the MOI. During your first appointment, your biometric data (photographs and fingerprints) will be taken, and a check will be made to ensure that your current residence address is the same as the one provided in your application. During this first appointment, the officer will offer you a date and time for your second appointment, during which you’ll collect your new biometric card. We can accompany you to both appointments, interpret for you, and avoid any unnecessary stress at the MOI.

If your current biometric card has expired, you must return it to the MOI as it is the property of the Czech government.
